Besing sprayed over surgical field, trehalose solution is diffused and penetrates into visceral capsule to cover the whole organ. Membrane protective effect of trehalose prevents organ capsules from drying and oxidative stress, and thus, prevent adhesion occurrance. It is under development to be used not only at laparotomy but also at endoscopic surgery.
